Welcome to the new Chilakoot Bowhunters Club web site. Our club was founded in 1953. Chilakoot is a club for the whole family, dedicated to the sport of archery.  We have a large, heated clubhouse with a 20 yard indoor range. The outdoor practice range has targets at various distances up to 50 yards. There are also numerous trails on our beautiful 53 acre wooded site, with targets set up for shooting at marked and unmarked distances. Along with member-only league shooting and club events, we plan to host seven public shoots in 2012. Our club is located just across the river in Wisconsin, about 5 miles from Stillwater, MN. In addition, the club owns 20 acres of land for hunting in Burnett Co., Wisconsin.

Our Mission is to promote the sport of archery and provide a convenient, family-oriented environment for beginning as well as experienced archers of all ages to learn and improve upon their archery skills

Club Member Profile

We have members of all ages and skill levels. If you are just starting out in archery, you can get tips on improving your shooting skills from our members. If you are a more more experienced archer you will find other people with like interests. We also have members who are interested in traditional and primitive archery. If you just want a convenient place to practice shooting, we have challenging practice ranges and forest courses to use, whenever you want.

All shoots are 3D unless specified otherwise.

Cost: Adults - $10.00
Children under 16 that are accompanied by an adult shoot free.

Shoot Hours : 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM

SCORING: 10-8-5 ( 1 arrow per target )

Note: Rangefinders can be used, however, if a rangefinder is used then scores will not be counted
for competition and shooters will be ineligible to receive trophies.

We will no longer be giving away trophies, but will continue to post the high scores from our public shoots.

We will give away free passes, good for the very next shoot only, to one out of every 25 registered shooters. The passes will be chosen at random.

If you have any questions about our club, its policies, events, cost of membership, or would just like to come out and try our facilities sometime, you are welcome to contact one of the officers or board members at the club mailing address or e-mail link below. They can answer questions or tell you when a member will be at the club. People who choose to become club members will be given the code to access club property. How To Find Us:
From Stillwater, MN ( Stillwater is about 12 miles east of St. Paul, MN ) :
From downtown Stillwater, take the lift bridge across the river and follow Wisconsin Hwy 35/64 about five miles, then take the Bus 64 / County VV / Somerset exit ramp. At the stop sign, go to the right on 38th St. The street dead-ends in about 1/4 mile, right by the club entrance. If a member is at the club, the gate should be unlocked.
